Onstream Project Services successfully accomplished one of the most difficult anti-corrosion projects of the year. Application of Oxifree TM 198 anti-corrosion coating on Engie’s G17 offshore platform was a difficult task involving rigorous logistics operations and flawless execution of anti-corrosion works. The scope of work was based on the encapsulation of 114 large 900 class flanges on different levels such as celler deck and mezzanine deck (Yard valvedeck).
The ENGIE G17-A Platform complex first produced gas in 2002 starting with the G17d-A Platform. In 2005 the G17d-AP Platform and the G17a-S1 Sub-Sea installations were completed. Gas from this complex is transported by the NGT (Noordgastransport) pipeline to NGT in Uithuizen where it is further processed and distributed via the GasUnie network across the region.
