FOS Welding Supervision Services

The SERVICE consists
• To ensure that Contractor and Subcontractors are followings the applicable project Specifications, Company General Specifications and International Codes / Standards.
• To monitor the performance of the Contractor and Subcontractors in achieving the Project Objectives

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Specific Activities:
• Under the Construction Lead, control that the work performed by the CONTRACTOR or his sub-contractor is performed as per the agreed MDR for the details engineering.
• Ensure that the construction yard is provided with suitable information and resources in line with their requirements (both technical and schedule). Provide strong input in the resources management (equipment, consumables, manpower).
• Troubleshoot technical problems that may affect the construction and liaise with the welding engineer/Quality Manager and engineering team for the resolution.
• Identify the critical activities and bottleneck for the progress of the modules or vessels related to welding. Anticipate & propose solutions to improve welder’s productivity.
• Follow up the welding activities and insure proper records (welding/NDE/inspection records follow-up). Manage/Perform all Company quality inspections related to welding activity.
• Identification and follow-up of any Non Conformance (NCRs).
• Be the focal point with the Project Welding Engineer/Quality Manager.
• Prepare monitoring reports (progress & planning) and activities reports on daily and weekly basis.
• Organise any progress meeting necessary to fulfil his mission.
• Monitor welding consumables management by Contractor including consumable test report (MTRs).
• Witness welding procedures qualification and welder ability qualifications.


• The execution of the SERVICE requires experienced specialists fluent in English and with knowledge of French.
