Construction Engineer
JOB FUNCTION:
• Champion Safety
• Coordinate Construction planning input to projects
• Serve as a member of the Construction Planning Team or Project Team (PT) depending on job assignment
• Ensure Constructability Plans are developed and implemented per Company CAPS
• Review contractor engineering plans, procedures, and procurement deliverables for consistency with all aspects of the project and in compliance with execution plan(s) and project standards
• Coordinate input for/from reviews and verification activities (CRR, IPR, Prequal, etc.)
• Participate/support/lead as requested discrete tasks to improve Construction Management Systems (CoMS), safety, planning, and execution tools
• Supports Site Team as needed in accordance with Site Manager’s handbook
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Understand and implement the fifteen (15) Company Site Leadership Expectations
• Champion on-site safety awareness and safe performance with contractor and Site Team members
• Provide/coordinate construction input to project planning and company CAPS deliverables
• Provide/coordinate constructability input, tracking, and feedback
• Establish/coordinate Construction Planning Program (CPP) for assigned projects and seek alignment with the Project Manager, Construction Site Manager, Construction Site Lead, Construction Advisor, Construction Supervisor, Construction Support Manager, and Construction Manager
• Ensure timely communication with Construction Leadership Team on project planning and execution activities status. Highlight issues and resolutions
• Develop and steward construction’s portion of the FEP budget for assigned projects
• Ensure that Constructability, Design and Risk Ensure the Company supplied materials have been procured, warehoused and delivered. Work with the project materials specialist to ensure all material meet specification and are delivered to the construction sites on time.
• Establish and own personal program for developing core competency in specific area of Construction planning and execution
• Monitor/champion implementation of execution activities and ensure development/review of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for effective execution
• Utilize best practices, CoMS, and other current Construction systems/tools
• Assist in the balanced and consistent application of Construction systems/tools across projects in which involved
• Provide accurate and timely reports on project planning and execution activities as requested
• Promote safety awareness and safe performance among Project Management Team members, including consultants and contractor personnel
• Review and provide input to development of contractor’s detailed plans and procedures to complete the work scope
• Review deliverables for quality, conformance to contract requirements, and consistency with other work products
• Apply lessons learned from previous projects, participate in lessons learned reviews, and capture lessons learned from current assigned projects
• Perform Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead role as needed
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• BS/MS in Engineering
• 0-5 years’ experience in oil and gas operations/projects
• Understands OIMS and Company CAPS
