Chesapeake’s plans to shut-in wells spurs slumping US market

Plans by US producer Chesapeake to shut in up to 1 billion cubic feet per day of output, about 1.5% of total US production, gave a fillip to the slumping US natural gas market this week, writes Noah Brenner.
